The Paso Robles Unified School District currently has over 13 schools and serves nearly 6,900 students. At PSUSD Students consistently score at or above the state and national averages on tests for academic performance and for college admission and credit. Seventy-five percent of graduating seniors are eligible for and indicate they plan to attend either a two- or four-year college or university or vocational school after graduation. Our students consistently compete and place as winners in state and national competitions in academic events and extracurricular activities. Our dropout rate is among the lowest in the county and well below the state rate.

Over 94% of students attend school every day and remain in school. The ratio of computers to students in most of the schools in our district is at or above the national average of 1 to 18. Over 200 volunteers donate thousands of hours each year to support our schools. All elementary students in grades K, 1, 2 and 3 are in reduced-size classes of no more than 20 students per teacher. All high school freshman English and mathematics students are in reduced-size classes (no more than 20 students per teacher). Students are safely bused over 300,000 miles each year by the Transportation Department. Students are served over 830,000 nourishing meals each year by the Food Services Department. Paso Robles Public Schools operates in buildings totaling over 700,000 square feet, located on 170 acres. Paso Robles Public Schools is the largest employer in the city with a monthly payroll of over $2.3 million.
