Parchetto Paso Robles

Introduction

One of the many perks of living in Paso Robles is the abundance of fantastic restaurants, each offering its own unique charm.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Parchetto with a friend, and it did not disappoint. Described as a “fine dining bistro with a relaxed atmosphere,” it’s the perfect spot for a casual yet refined meal, whether you’re stopping by for lunch, dinner, or a weekend brunch.

Brought to life by the talented team behind Il Cortile—and formerly the original La Cosecha—you can expect top-tier quality in both food and service.

The beverage selection is equally impressive, featuring a well-curated wine list (one of the owners is a sommelier) and a cocktail menu that pays homage to the timeless classics.

The Lunch menu is served from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM, followed by a limited Mid-Afternoon menu from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Dinner begins at 5:00 PM, offering an elevated dining experience to close out the day.

Parchetto is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so be sure to plan your visit accordingly!

The Food

Parchetto’s culinary philosophy embraces a true “garden-to-table” approach, with a menu built around seasonal, locally sourced ingredients—including produce from the owners’ own garden. They have decribed themselves as a “California Bistro”, where “the rustic charm of Italian tradition” meets “the bold, fresh flavors of California Cuisine”.

Insider Tip: The day I went, the Specials of the Day included some of the dishes I personally enjoyed from their previous La Cosecha Menu. If you have a hankering after, for example, the risotto-style Paella, or the Moqueca (Brazilian Fish Stew), it may be worth checking to see if its availalble.

Having said that, I did, in fact, order the risotto-style Paella with linguica and shrimp from the Specials menu, and my friend had the Cornish Hen with Cous Cous Veggie Salad. Both dishes were delicious, and, being ladies who lunch with intention, we accompied our lunch with a tasty, fresh, and slightly off-dry French white wine. To finish, we indulged in a creamy vanilla Crème Brûlée and an Apple Tart with ice cream, the perfect sweet ending to a delightful dining experience.

Living in Paso Robles means Sunday Brunch

Whenever I can, I personally love to gather whatever family is visiting, and heading out to Sunday Brunch. Parchetto is reserved for the next such occasion.

Every Sunday from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM, they offer an interesting brunch menu, perfectly complemented by the smooth sounds of live jazz.

Whether you’re in the mood for something light and fresh or a more indulgent dish, their brunch selection promises something special.

Given its popularity, reservations are highly recommended—this is one brunch experience you won’t want to miss!

Conclusion

Parchetto brings something special to the Paso Robles dining scene—an inviting blend of elegance and comfort, where every dish tells a story of fresh, locally sourced ingredients and thoughtful craftsmanship. Whether you’re savoring a leisurely lunch, indulging in a beautifully prepared dinner, or enjoying the smooth sounds of live jazz over Sunday brunch, Parchetto offers a dining experience that feels both elevated and welcoming. If you’re looking for a favorite spot in Paso, this charming bistro deserves a spot on your list.
